100,000 strokes, 90 nautical miles and a total of 170 kilometres.
Using what we know best – rowing – we are all set to make an epic crossing from Mallorca to Barcelona to help contribute to research against Alzheimer’s.
We are certainly going to put all our strength into it. Because there is nothing to say that Alzheimer’s cannot be beaten.
We are normal people, not professional athletes. We also have our jobs, families, problems and blessings. We also share an enthusiasm: rowing.
‘90 miles against Alzheimer’s’ is a project to raise awareness and further research. You can support us by pledging €1 per stroke. We provide through this platform a maximum of 20.000 strokes.
We want to raise € 100,000 (€1 per stroke of the total of 100,000 strokes) to be donated in full to the Fundación Pasqual Maragall.
We are being helped by the Obra Social “la Caixa”, which has financed the crossing.
C.E. OLÍMPIC BARCELONA www.olimpicbarcelona.cat is an Olympic and coastal rowing club. It was founded three years ago by a group of rowing experts and enthusiasts.
The club’s rowing school promotes rowing for children, teenagers, adults and the elderly. We also have a competition team that competes at the most important regattas in Spain and abroad.
Help us win the fight against Alzheimer’s!
